Meet Dr. Jenn Nolan
Whatever your passion, Dr. Nolan wants to help keep you doing the things you love during treatment and help prevent future injuries. Her clinical experience includes working with NCAA Division I athletes at St. Mary’s College, US Veterans at the Veterans Affairs Hospital, and soon-to-be-mom’s throughout their pregnancy, as well as general practice. She has participated in the Sports Medicine tent at numerous sporting events, including the Vineman Ironman, Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, Sea Otter Cycling Festival, and running events ranging from 5K to half marathons. She has also traveled to Haiti and the Dominican Republic to provide chiropractic care to those in need.
Keeping Up to date
Dr. Nolan has attended numerous seminars in addition to her classic training as a chiropractor. She has over 100 hours in extremities training and is certified in Webster Technique, Active Release Technique (Full Body), Functional Movement Taping (kinesiotaping), Applied Kinesiology, and Applied Clinical Nutrition. She has also completed coursework in the McKenzie Method. Dr. Nolan continues her education by attending events on a regular basis is and is currently finishing the requirements to achieve the rank of Board-Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP).
Practice what you preach
Outside of the office, Dr. Nolan will be participating in several century rides during the summer of 2018, including the Tour of Napa Valley and Levi's Gran Fondo. She is currently seeking out new triathlons to add to her calendar. If you have any suggestions for a fun, scenic or unique tri, please let her know! Dr. Nolan resides in Oakland, CA and loves hiking in the East Bay parks with her two dogs, as well as cycling and running in the Oakland hills.
Education & Awards
Dr. Jennifer I. Nolan graduated Cum Laude from Ithaca College in 2003 with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Exercise Science and Communications. After ten years in the film industry, Dr. Nolan decided it was time to pursue a career that allowed her to keep her love of an active lifestyle close to heart and become a Chiropractor. She completed her Doctor of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s San Jose Campus in June 2016, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received several prestigious awards, including the Clinical Excellence Award and Student Fellowship Award for her graduating class.
